"
I was delighted
with the work you did on my buffet
R-13 clarinet. I first drove a
considerable distance to two
separate shops located in cities
within my region, in the hope of
finding an expert repair facility.
The first repair job ended up making
the instrument sound even worse than
when I began, while the second job
improved things only slightly.
I had almost despaired of finding
someone capable enough to bring my
instrument back to top condition,
particularly because I live in a
fairly isolated rural area.
But I decided to give the Musical
instrument Repair Shop a try.
I'm very glad I did. The
result was amazing--and truly
gratifying. I've never heard
the clarinet sound better! I have
also recommended your shop, with
enthusiasm, to others.
Best Wishes,
J. Gatta"

Repad
Every
clarinet repair will be executed by
our master clarinet technician with
over forty years experience in
clarinet repair and performance.
A clarinet Repad at the Musical
Instrument Repair Shop includes the
complete disassembly of all keywork
from the body of the
clarinet followed by a thorough
cleaning of all keys, rods, pivot
screws, springs, tone holes, body
surfaces and the entire clarinet
bore. All new pads are then
installed using only premium quality
pads which are centered in key cups
and aligned and leveled over tone
holes in the final assembly.
The keywork is carefully lubricated
and the pad seating process is done.
Once the seating process is complete
the clarinet repair is play tested.
After 48 hours the pad seat
retention is checked and a final
play test is performed prior to
return shipping to you, our
customer.
