Shipping Instructions

Because musical instruments are particularly fragile special care needs to be taken in packing for shipment. The case offers some protection however damage may occur if additional packing materials are not applied. First establish that there is no play for the instrument in the case, if there is add bubble wrap or crumpled newspaper in the case where needed. Also be sure to place in the case the repair instructions, the 50% deposit, either check or money order, the return shipping address and email address or you may make your deposit via PayPal. Then be sure the box selected is large enough so packing material (bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper, foam peanuts) can surround all the sides of the instrument case tightly so that no shifting will occur while in transit. We suggest purchasing shipping insurance for the replacement value of your instrument as the Musical Instrument Repair Shop will always require shipping insurance for the replacement value of your instrument upon return shipping to you, our customer. Please email us with your tracking number, so that we can schedule accordingly. We ship via UPS.

Payment

The Musical Instrument Repair Shop requires a 50% deposit, by either check, money order or by PayPal (see our "Pay Now" button below), on all major repair services to cover the expense of various materials, services and related costs incurred while your instrument is in process. Plating prices are subject to change without notice due to the fluctuating values in the precious metals market and will be reflected on the final invoice. You do not need a PayPal account to use PayPal.

Once you ship your musical instrument to us, please email us the tracking number so we can make appropriate scheduling adjustments. Our scheduling is done on a "first come, first serve" basis. We suggest that you purchase shipping insurance for the replacement value of your instrument. The Musical Instrument Repair Shop will always require shipping insurance for the full replacement value of your instrument upon return shipping to you, our customer.

On all shipments, payment of the final balance will be due upon receiving your final "Repair Invoice" with ready to ship in 30 business days notification. Upon our receiving the final balance due for all repairs your musical instrument will be shipped via UPS Ground with an adult signature required. The UPS tracking number and Paid In Full invoice will be sent to you via email. All final payments may be submitted by cashier's check, money order or by PayPal made payable to the Musical Instrument Repair Shop. You do not need a PayPal Account. All shipping and insurance costs are the customer's responsibility.
